We are a small collective of passionate travelers with one mission:

Create the best free neighborhood travel guides for every city that we love

Remember when we used to buy actual guidebooks?

Now we save us that money, because its all free on the internet. Instead paying dearly with precious vacation hours lost, researching blog after blog, trying to figure out what to do. But we often get lost in information, ending up zigzag-ing around with not much of a plan or any context.

What if we had a little print guide at hand, with all the right spots to visit, as well as the perfect walks connecting them, gifting us real quality time without the need to constantly look at our smart phones?

We decided to create that experience
– One beautiful neighborhood guide at a time.

What makes our guides unique

Style
Our elaborately illustrated neighborhood guides let readers experience the beauty of their surroundings from the very first glance. We take much care of the visual appearance, you become immediately aware that the included recommendations are simply the best this hood has to offer.

Each new guide takes up to six months to create, from selecting the optimal area to cover, finding the perfect illustrator with a style fitting the local vibe to work with, to the actual execution incl. writing the reviews. In addition, we publish a limited edition silkscreen art print of the map. So the outcome really has to be beautiful enough to be looked at everyday when hanging on someone’s wall: It’s art, baby!

Selectivity
We go to great length to assemble the perfect mix of interesting sites, cafés, restaurants, bars, shops and services in our compact, easy to carry format. Each guide is good for one or even multiple days of exciting exploration and enjoyment.
Our recommendations always include the new and innovative stores, cafés, restaurants and bars, but we also have a heart for classic treats. Especially in neighbourhoods where these classics best reflect the city’s soul.

Take a look at them on our Instagram account.

Strolling
To us, simply writing up a list of places to visit and marking them on a map, would be falling short of giving you the best experience, which we believe you merit. Everybody else out there just throws spots at you, and let’s you figure out how to visit them.

We offer you multiple themed walks that make for many happy hours of exploration. Worry not about missing that super nice little place just off the short A-to-B path that your nav app wants you to follow to your next destination. We got you covered.

Smartness
A smart compact format with a smart companion page

We reduced the guides to the necessary minimum, so you travel light and flip it open in a wink: just 9 grams of goodness, free of photos and logos! Every piece of info you will eventually have to take out your smart phone to use anyway, we packed on a mobile-optimised smart companion page. Load it once and all the listings’ websites, Facebook and Instagram pages, additional Wikipedia entries, phone numbers, and – of course – navigation to get there are just one touch away.

And smart ways to get our guides into you hands

You can find the guides at all the listed cafés, restaurants, bars, shops and services, as well as at many of the listed museums etc.. And you find us at select accommodations from hip young places like the Heart of Gold Hostel, through design hotels such as the Weinmeister, all the way to the Regent, Hilton and Adlon Kempinski.

We additionally teamed up with partners such as AirBnB, Berlin Travel Festival, COUP, the five PREMIUM GROUP fashion trade shows, UBER or Urban Apartments, so you could additionally find us at amazing events, in your holiday apartment, or when doing a scooter tour or riding in a limousine.

Sustainability
First of all, our beautiful guides are real keepers. Readers keep them as souvenirs, locals pin them on their walls, they are passed on to visiting friends, etc… We print them carbon neutrally and locally on thin recycled paper. We save paper by keeping them free of photos, as well as those ugly advertisements for things you don’t want to buy anyway.

They are presented to you in high-grade displays made from recycled wood by our partner WERKHAUS. And we deliver them to our partners using a cargo bike and our muscles.

Let’s drink a coffee “to stay”, and then take a nice walk.

Soul
This of course, is the most important part. We simply love what we do and do this to create the most enjoyable experience for our friends – for whom we started this – and all the other people out there who get the guides into their hands.
We hope this shows, and you enjoy your trip. If you find anything in our guides to be wrong or got ideas on how to improve them, please reach out to us.

(Fun fact: We first wanted to call this section ‘Social’, but oh boy, never has a positive word gotten such a foul taste as fast as this one, thanks to the so-called Social Media.)

The first edition of our new Berlin Mitte guide is out

After the launch of our Berlin-wide guide, this is our third title. It’s “south of river Spree” part features many A-list Berlin historical sites not to miss, while the northern part covers the larger Brunnenviertel with additional landmarks but also lots of cosy cafés, restaurants, bar ans shops.

We hope you find the time to follow us into the heart of the city.

Kickstarting the Summer season with our new COUP collab

On a warm but rather rainy day, we headed over to our partner COUP, to drop off a couple of thousand guides. We used the opportunity to gift them an art print, including a photo finish.

Thanks to Julia Grothe, PR- & Communications Manager of COUP, for the warm welcome. We are looking forward to developing some exciting branding and community building measures with you in the months to come.
