We are a small collective of passionate people with one mission:
Publish the best neighbourhood walking guides in our favourite cities
Remember when we used to buy actual guidebooks?
Now we save us that money, because its all free on the internet. Instead paying dearly with precious vacation hours lost, researching blog after blog, trying to figure out what to do. But we often get lost in information, ending up zigzag-ing around with not much of a plan or any context.
What if we had a little print guide at hand, with all the right spots to visit, as well as the perfect walks connecting them, gifting us real quality time without the need to constantly look at our smart phones?
We decided to create that experience
– One beautiful neighbourhood guide at a time.

What makes our guides unique
Each new guide takes up to six months to create, from selecting the optimal area to cover, finding the perfect illustrator with a style fitting the local vibe to work with, to the actual execution incl. writing the reviews. In addition, we publish a limited edition silkscreen art print of the map. So the outcome really has to be beautiful enough to be looked at everyday when hanging on someone’s wall: It’s art, baby!

Watch our short ‘making-of’ video!
Take a look at them on our Instagram account.

We offer you multiple themed walks that make for many happy hours of exploration. Worry not about missing that super nice little place just off the short A-to-B path that your nav app wants you to follow to your next destination. We got you covered.

A smart compact format
We reduced the guides to the necessary minimum, so you travel light and flip it open in a wink: just 9 grams of goodness, without yet another photo of that perfect Cappuccino or any logos!
Paired with a smart companion page
Every piece of info you will eventually have to take out your smart phone to use anyway, we packed on a mobile-optimised smart companion page. Load it once and all the listings’ websites, Facebook and Instagram pages, additional Wikipedia entries, phone numbers, and – of course – navigation to get there are just one touch away.

You can find the guides at all the listed cafés, restaurants, bars, shops and services, as well as at many of the listed museums etc..
But we decided the best way to reach discerning visitors in our favorite cities is to place our guides right into their hotel rooms or guest apartments. So we teamed up with the best boutique, design, art, and even luxury hotels.
Showcase:
- OTA Berlin: Our partners from the beginning and our neighbours, they operate a hotel, hostel and some beautiful apartments
- Dear Lisbon: With its 72 rooms spread over 6 houses, this is as charming as a boutique hotel can ever get, and a solid recommendation to any Lisboa visitor
- Hotel Adlon, Berlin: The LA Times called it the “unofficial guest house (…) for the German government” – need we say more?

First of all, our beautiful guides are real keepers. Readers keep them as souvenirs, locals pin them on their walls, they are passed on to visiting friends, etc… We print them carbon neutrally and locally on thin recycled paper. We save paper by keeping them free of photos, as well as those ugly advertisements for things you don’t want to buy anyway.
They are presented to you in high-grade displays made from recycled wood by our partner WERKHAUS. We deliver them on cargo bikes from our partner velogut using our muscles and green electricity. And when we fly, we offset our carbon footprint with Atmosfair.
So let’s enjoy a relaxed coffee “to stay”, and take that nice walk afterwards.

Soul
(Fun fact: We first wanted to call this section ‘Social’, but oh boy, never has a positive word gotten such a foul taste as fast as this one, thanks to the so-called Social Media.)

We had to go on vacation to build a new website, but it worked!
When we’re in the city, we’re on the streets. So we had to go away to create our long due new website, reflecting the many changes that took place in the past 8 months. You’re looking at it now. We hope you like it. Feel free to send us feedback.
And to all our partners out there: Need a beautiful website? We can help!
The art print for Berlin Mitte is out, delivered with muscle power!
We apologise again for the delay. So much going on. As we also do with our guides, we delivered the art prints with a cargo bike from our friends & partners at Velogut and our muscle power – okay, and some electrons running through the bike as well 🙂
We love Barcelona, and we set our sight on it!
Not much to say art this point, except we want to do a Barcelona guide. A city with wonderful people and places in which we spent such great moments for many years now.
